In order to commemorate the semiquincentennial of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Morning Star Productions is bringing you a historical, interactive field trip called Declaration!. September 29 - October 10, 2025 at Old Falls Village in Menomonee Falls, N96W15791 County Line Rd, Menomonee Falls 53051
In this production, we offer the opportunity for students to delve into their imaginations and stretch their critical thinking skills. They'll meet and interact with John Hancock, Paul Revere, Benjamin Franklin, and Pasha, the notorious Barbary pirate.
The final scene of the interactive will be a courtroom where students act as a jury, debating 3 questions - Was Jefferson a racist?, Did he really write the Declaration of Independence? and Did he ask Congress for permission to attack the notorious Barbary pirates in 1801?
This is a fun, historical but challenging look at Thomas Jefferson: the man, the U.S. President and the author of the Declaration...or was he?
